Lauren immigrated to New Zealand in January 2020. She graduated from the University of Pretoria, South Africa with both a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB). Although she had been working as a legal administrator since her arrival, Lauren was officially admitted as a Solicitor and Barrister of the High Court of New Zealand in July 2025 after crossing over her qualifications and successfully completing the New Zealand Legal Practice (Bar) Exams.
Lauren is an avid traveler and enjoys time outdoors – horse riding, hiking, motorbiking and photography. She is also a member of the executive committee for the Invercargill branch of Soroptimist International, a global charitable organization advocating for human rights.
